Last update: August 20, 2008 - 8:35 AM

Northern Wisconsin has been chosen to again host the fourth annual USA Hockey Pond Hockey National Championship, organizers have announced.

The event in Eagle River is set for Feb. 13-15, 2009.

"This event is about the teams, the experience and the camaraderie while enjoying hockey the way it used to be," said Ashley Bevan, director of adult hockey for USA Hockey.

The event will be staged outdoors on Dollar Lake and feature teams of adults 21 and older divided into 12 no-checking divisions.

A registration form and a tournament schedule can be found online at www.usahockey.com/adult.
