Long Minn. ATV parade certified as world record

Last update: November 3, 2009 - 9:17 AM

ST. PAUL, Minn. - More than 1,600 all-terrain vehicles that lined up in Silver Bay, Minn., earlier this year set the official world record for largest ATV parade.

The All-Terrain Vehicle Association of Minnesota says Guinness World Records has verified that the group's June 13 parade of 1,632 ATVs was the longest ever documented.

The old record was held by Harlan County Ride Runners of Evarts, Ky., for a parade of 1,138 ATVs in 2006.

The All-Terrain Vehicle Association of Minnesota is a membership organization that advocates for ATV access to trails and organizes social events.
