Weekly travel deal: Dozens of cities on sale on United

It's a United Airlines get-out-of-town weekend if we've ever seen one.

The airline is offering more than a dozen different cities on sale for a last-minute departure this weekend and next, from Springfield ($140), to Lexington, Ken. ($198), to Reno ($252) and more. Many of the same cities remain on sale for a weekend getaway next weekend (that would be Labor Day weekend, for those keeping track).

This week's Travelzoo is also offering two online deals -- for the Twin Cities.

The site is offering links to up to 25 percent off Minnesota Twins tickets this week, and a 35 percent discount on tickets to "Mary Poppins" which runs Sept. 3-6.
