quick trip milwaukee. French culture and cuisine will highlight the 31st annual Bastille Days, Thursday through next Sunday in downtown Milwaukee. A 5K run/2-mile walk will kick off the festival at 9 p.m. Thursday, and, new this year, a Mardi Gras-style celebration will be held Friday. Four stages at Cathedral Square Park will host live music and performance art. Other highlights include strolling musicians, a pooch parade, food, wine and cheese demonstrations, wine tastings ($25-$35), sidewalk cafes and vendors, all set against the backdrop of a 43-foot replica of the Eiffel Tower displaying hourly light shows.
