At Dream South Beach hotel in Miami Beach, everything is new but the historic details. Not even the elegant elevators at the former Tudor Hotel and Palmer House, done up in mother of pearl and black glass, escaped attention. While the hotel partially opened in summer of 2010, it wasn't finished until last July. The 108 rooms are highly designed, with Ann Sacks tile, custom furniture and touches such as gold glass-beaded wall coverings. Restaurateur Geoffrey Zakarian's Tudor House earns raves. Fare sale for cruises to Southern Europe

Crystal Cruises, the all-inclusive cruise line, is offering low, limited-time fares on a dozen new cruises in Southern Europe. The trips, which run from five to eight nights, depart July through December and from such ports as Athens, Barcelona, Rome, and Istanbul. For example, a deluxe stateroom aboard the Crystal Serenity's five-nighter from Cannes, France, to Rome starts at $1,310 per person double.
