Summerfest gets started Thursday in Pine River, offering visitors and residents plenty of activities and events to enjoy. The festival, which runs through Sunday, includes a parade (2 p.m. Saturday), a classic car and tractor show, duck races, arts and crafts, a children's theater production, a 5K run, pony rides and a pancake breakfast (7:30 a.m.-noon Sunday).
