YOUR GUIDE TO THE TWIN CITIES

Five wines for this (or any other) generation.
When it comes to wine, Millennials are globetrotters. And varietal-hoppers. Here are five tasty wines that might make up a typical week's wine itinerary for this generation:
Rosa Fiore Barbera d'Asti ($9)
A whole heckuva lotta wine for the money, this smooth, fun Piedmontese red features bright berry flavors and enough acidity to work with all manner of dishes.
Bush Camp "The Sundowner" Chenin Blanc ($12)
Millennials are more open-minded about wines from South Africa, merchants say. And this off-dry gem rewards that approach. It's lovely, clean and leaner than expected.
Flying Winemaker Maipo Valley Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon ($12)
This Chilean beauty has great grip and fruit. It's rich and full-flavored, a great accompaniment to fall entrees but also a splendid sipper for the season.
Carpineto "Dogajolo" Toscano ($15)
A very juicy, vibrant blend (40 percent chardonnay, 30 percent each sauvignon blanc and grechetto) from central Italy, this medium-bodied white offers spot-on acidity and a long, lively finish.
Hahn Monterey Merlot ($14)
This generation has less experience with the flabby merlots that wore out many consumers. This very smooth, spicy but refined number from central California would make anyone love the varietal.
