Another entry in the never-ending parade of new restaurants.

At Digby’s, owner Michael Larson (owner of Plymouth’s Eat Shop Kitchen & Bar) is focusing on the foods he likes to eat. Which means well-embellished burgers, pizzas (it helps that the space was once home to California Pizza Kitchen) and shakes. There’s also a long list of small-ish plates (including a tasty variety of sausages), ideal for pre- and post-movie noshing. Lunch and dinner daily.

North Dakota’s JL Beers has launched its first Twin Cities outlet, and as the name implies, the bar taps a lengthy roster of local craft favorites alongside national and international labels. The busy grill specializes in quick-service, affordably priced burgers (top price is $5.89, with a dozen-plus add-ons in the $1.29-and-under range) and piping hot fries. Lunch and dinner daily.

The Lakeshore Grill at Macy’s Ridgedale has shed its Ralph-Lauren-department-in-the-1990s look for a lighter, brighter and far more appealing setting, complete with a showy open kitchen, a comfortable bar and a patio. The menu continues its focus on modern American favorites (and, yes, the basket of mini popovers lives on), and service remains as cheerful as ever. A great deal is the $12 soup-salad-dessert special. Lunch daily, dinner Monday through Saturday.
