Wine deal of the week

Wine

The Yarden Mount Hermon Golan Heights White ($15-$16) tastes likes something more from the tropics than the desert. (It’s actually from the cooler Golan Heights region. This unusual white blend — mostly sauvignon blanc, with chardonnay and semillon “oomphing” it up — has layers of lush tropical fruit and unexpected complexity for the price. Try it with shrimp cocktail, shrimp scampi, shrimp anything. Or actually seafood anything. Available at Zipp’s, On the Rocks, Byerly’s/Lunds, Swirl, Liquor Boy and the Hy-vee in Rochester.
