Tiki Tim’s is the place for fried tilapia stuffed into flour tortillas, or garlicky crab-shrimp cakes finished with a red pepper mayonnaise, or toasted ciabatta rolls heaped high with pulled pork and a ginger-pineapple slaw. Deep-fried pickles, too.

Slow-roasted chicken, beef, pork and vegetables, served as an entree (with rice and fries), a panini or a salad, is the backbone of the menu at Latin American-flavored Cafe Racer, along with fully loaded hot dogs and a half-dozen comfort-food side dishes. Dessert? Portable cheesecake, done lollipop-style.@caferacermn

At the Moral Omnivore, co-owners Ross Stirratt and Linnea Logas channel locally raised ingredients into inventive street food (roasted cauliflower-parsnip salad, sliders stuffed with beets, smoked Gouda and a mustard sauce) and donate a portion of their sales to local nonprofits. @Moral_Omnivore
