Publishers Weekly reports that Clarkson Potter publishers bought the rights to two books by Amy Thielen, who this past weekend won a 2011 James Beard Journalism Award for three stories written for the Taste section. Thielen's first title is a cookbook for dishes that exemplify her Midwestern roots. The second will be about her life cooking and raising a family in a cabin in northern Minnesota, "preserving old food traditions and making new ones."
