    Location: 88 S. 6th St. in the Westin Hotel, Minneapolis, 612-656-3255, www.bankmpls.com.

    Hours: Breakfast 6 to 10 a.m. weekdays, 7 to 10:30 a.m. weekends. Lunch 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily. Dinner 5:30 to 10 p.m. daily. Lounge open 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday.

    Atmosphere: Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers open a checking account in the Midwest.

    Service: Disappointingly uneven.

    Sound level: Even the loudest voices seem to evaporate in the airy environs.

    Recommended dishes: Croquettes, salmon tartare, walleye, soups, lamb sandwich, burger, mini-indulgent desserts.

    Wine list: Solidly food-focused but not exactly inexpensive, with plus-size by-the-glass pours. Splashy, vividly flavored cocktails.

    Price range: Starters $5 to $7 at breakfast, $6 to $13 at lunch and dinner. Entrees $7 to $16 at breakfast, $9 to $14 at lunch, $12 to $32 at dinner. Desserts $2.50 to $7.
