Location: 1010 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis, 612-332-1010.

Hours: Lunch 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Bar happy hour 3 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Dinner 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday, 5 to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 5 to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday; bar menu served one hour later.

Atmosphere: Casual and comfortable by day, sexy at night.

Service: Genial, informative, not always attentive.

Sound level: Don't plan on conversation when the music starts.

Recommended dishes: Brie-apple soup, walleye chowder, smoked sturgeon and salmon, macaroni and cheese, walleye dumplings, walleye beignets, strip steak, lemon meringue pie, chocolate steamed pudding.

Wine list: Thoughtful, wide range of all-American choices (with a few Canadian ringers); 14 by-the-glass options.

Price range: Lunch entrees $8.50 to $19, dinner appetizers $5.50 to $13, dinner entrees $16 to $30, bar menu $8 to $13, desserts $4 to $8.

Smoking: Blissfully smoke-free.

Parking: Evening valet parking ($6). Nearby skyway-connected Target ramp (enter on LaSalle Av. between 9th and 10th Sts.), $3 after 4 p.m.
