WHO KNEW, HULK?

WHO KNEW, HULK?

What would you like to know about Hulk Hogan's life outside the wrestling ring? Anything?

The first thing I learned when I opened his new book ("Hulk Hogan: My Life Outside the Ring") was this: His name is actually Terry. Terry Bollea. He's Italian, for cripe's sake, despite that California blond hair.

The next thing that I learned is that he has always been big -- 6 feet tall and 196 pounds at age 12 -- and kids used to call him "fathead." (Try that now. I dare you. I double-dare you.)

And the third thing that I learned is that he was so old when he finally lost his virginity that he refuses to tell us exactly how old. (Though he does go on to describe later, um, encounters with women.)

Want to know more? Because this only brings us to page 22, and there are almost 300 more pages with, presumably, even more interesting revelations. It's published by St. Martin's Press, it sells for $26, and Hulk Hogan himself (referred to sweetly in the St. Martin's Press release as "Terry") will be at the Mall of America at 6 p.m. Friday. You should go. Who knows what you might learn?

FLIGHT UNAWARE

So the pilots aboard Northwest Airlines Flight 188 overflew their Minneapolis-St. Paul destination because they were on their laptops. What could they have been doing? Here are 10 guesses:

10. Looking up "vectors."

9. Playing Microsoft's "Flight Simulator X." It's just like the real thing!

8. Calculating how much their flight is making off of baggage fees.

7. Not going to lose another eBay auction for a vintage G.I. Joe action figure just because of the darn San Diego-Minneapolis run.

6. Watching that "Drunkest Guy Ever" video on YouTube never gets old.

5. Stupid MapQuest.

4. Updating Facebook status: "Killing some time on flight to Twin Cities."

3. PC vs. Mac -- the debate never ends.

2. Tracking real-time progress at FlightAware.com: "Hey, look -- we're cruising over MSP! Oh, wait a minute ..."

1. Checking Monster.com's latest job listings.
