There’s an art to putting together a flattering outfit. But let’s be honest: We’re not all natural-born artists. That’s why a few local wardrobe experts are teaching classes to school people on the basics of good style.
“The class was created to empower and educate women when it comes to taking control of their closet, their styling and their shopping,” said Lindsey Kuhn, owner of Fashion Fix. “I want to help women make smart decisions so they can be their best self,” instead of longing to look like someone else. Kuhn offers her “Style Right” workshops throughout the year.
If pairing the right shoes with outfits is your downfall, then you’re in luck. Carly Gatzlaff of À La Mode Wardrobe Consulting and Sally McGraw of the Already Pretty fashion blog are teaming up for a workshop called “How Shoes Work Within Your Wardrobe.”
“Shoes tend to be the biggest struggle for most of our clients,” said Gatzlaff. “Both Sally and I agree they are the key to making an outfit work, so knowing when and how to use different types of shoes is crucial for creating a great outfit.”
