For the Celebration of Mexico gala, guests were invited to the Orono home of Muffy MacMillan. From tents set up on the lush, spacious lawn, guests were treated to Mexican-style cocktails and a buffet dinner while mingling during the silent auction. For the Minnesota International Center’s largest fundraiser of the year, there also was a live auction and a fund-a-need program for Classroom Connection, which engages second- and third-graders in cross-cultural conversations with multilingual speakers. The center supports continuing educational and cultural programs that help Minnesotans think globally.
