Couch potatoes, rejoice! Gym rats, celebrate! The sweatpants trend continues to enjoy its status as socially acceptable streetwear this spring. That's right: Sweatpants can be comfortable and fashionable. Bruce Pask of the New York Times Style Magazine surmises that designers are taking note of our "increasingly casual workplace culture, the rise of the urban freelancer or the advent of the couch-to-dinner weekend wardrobe." Whatever the case, these new "luxe" or "tailored" sweats make for one of the comfiest trends of the season. Pair them with a blazer and heels for work, or a beanie and sneakers for the grocery store.
