One of the more iconic pieces of American clothing turned 100 this year — the T-shirt. While it screams casual, the tee has a storied history. Marlon Brando made the plainest version sexy. The tuxedo tee made it ironic. Che Guevara became wildly popular thanks to a T-shirt — and he didn’t even know it. Everyone has a favorite in their closet. We asked readers to submit their best tees, and the response spoke to the shirt’s undisputed popularity. Of the 100-plus entries, these are our favorites.
