Bluebird Boutique is hosting an event with fit specialists from J. Brand, which is the style leader in denim. Here are boutique owner Sacha Martin's tips for finding the right jeans.Colored denim: Coral and juniper, a mint green, are hot for spring, she said, "but you'll see every color from neon to pastel."

Midrise: This is the one fit that works for everybody. "The people who don't think they want a midrise like it because it's not much higher than the lowrise," Martin said.

Leather. Invest now for fall, because leather jeans are huge. "Waxed denim is staying around if you don't want to invest in leather," she said.

Perfect pairings: Pajama button-downs and lingerie-inspired camisoles go well together, she said.

The J. Brand event is 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday (3909 W. 50th St., Edina, 952-746-8675).
