THE UGLY SIDE OF REUNITING

It's one thing for single folks to track down their exes, but for married people, it's obviously another matter entirely.

While psychologist Nancy Kalish is happy for reunited couples who form lasting relationships, she said that Facebook is also leading to a lot of heartbreak as married people look up their exes and find the idea of fulfilling an interrupted past love too tempting to resist.

"Social media is causing a huge increase in extramarital affairs," said Kalish. "Instead of middle-aged nostalgia, when at least the kids are probably grown and out of the house, social networking is skewing it toward younger couples with small children.

"Over the last few years I've more often been warning married people not to contact a lost love, rather than talking about the happy stories."
