What do musician Butch Thompson, Summit Brewing Co. and St. Paul mayor Chris Coleman have in common?
Probably not a lot. But they'll be teaming up tonight for a fundraiser at the St. Paul brewery.
They're determined to raise money for the "Seen & Unseen" exhibit, which features photos of the Como Ordway Memorial Japanese Garden by Peter Leach.
Leach, who was given unlimited, year-round access to the traditional garden, was able to capture scene other visitors might never see (that must be where the "unseen" in the title comes from).
Supporters are trying to raise money not only for an exhibit of the photographs here in February, they're hoping to send the enhibit to Nagasaki, St. Paul's sister city in Japan, as well.
So,if you're into Japanese gardens, photography, Butch Thompson or beer, check it out tonight. For tickets (not cheap at $75) or more information, go to www.stpaulnagasaki.org.
