YOUR GUIDE TO THE TWIN CITIES
Location is important when you put up bird feeders. You want to be able to see them from windows you routinely use. You want to be able to fill the feeders easily. A place that offers protection from prevailing winds is good. And feeders near trees or shrubs offer birds a sheltered place to take and eat the seeds. But one caveat: Feeders should be 30 feet or more from windows or tight against them to help prevent birds from flying into the glass.
