Uncommon Gardens has closed
If you're a gardener who seeks out unusual plants and accessories, you'll have one less place to look this growing season. Uncommon Gardens, a south Minneapolis retailer that staked out a niche providing less-common offerings, has closed its doors. The garden center, which was located at 5750 Lyndale Av. S., announced the closing in an e-mail to its mailing list. "After 13 wonderful years, we've decided to see what's down a new garden path and have closed our beloved store," the e-mail read. A call to the store indicated the phone line had been disconnected. The full closing message is on the store's website, www.uncommongardens.com.
