Oprah has put her annual stamp of approval on six dozen of her "Favorite Things," with something sweet and chewy included from small-town southeastern Minnesota.

A wooden box of caramels, 35 in all put together in Kellogg by family-owned Annie B's, found its way onto Oprah's timed-for-Christmas shopping list.

"We're excited for the adventure ahead, even if it's a little overwhelming," Justin and Amanda Henke, who not only own the business together but released their reaction in this joint statement Tuesday. "It is incredible that our little 18-person operation is getting so much national attention."

The 36-year-old company markets its caramels as all-natural, gluten-free and minus high fructose corn syrup. Each is made using local products when possible. There are 16 flavors in all, including sea salt caramel and buttered rum.

Also on the shopping recommendation list from the media and entertainment titan this year are fleece robes by Pine Cone Hill, an Electra speed bike, a Tory Burch watch and a 12 days of Christmas-themed charm bracelet by Chamilia.

Minnesota has inched its way onto Oprah's "Favorite Things" in the past. In 2012, she gave the nod to a "Shades of Love Cake" from Le Center native and lifestyle guru Ross Sveback.
