Learn about horticulture therapy and bring home a winter-themed container. Owner Heidi Heiland will give tips on fashioning spruce-top containers and window boxes, wreaths and centerpieces and talk about the healing and calming effects of horticulture. The workshop is from noon to 8 p.m. Nov. 16 and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 17 at Heidi's Lifestyle Gardens, 7241 County Road 116, Corcoran. In Japan, unique floral arrangements called Ikebana are used as decorations and considered exquisite art objects. Stop by the Bonsai Gallery in the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory to admire displays of Ikebana using flowers, foliage and autumn berries.
