Benjamin Moore's new Molten Metallics paints let you give surfaces the look of hammered metal. Molten Metallics are high-gloss alkyd paints that produce the texture and appearance of metal.
Some of Stillwater's handsome old houses will open their doors for touring next weekend, part of the Washington County Historic Society's first historic home tour.
Homes on the tour include the Aurora Staples home, an 1892 Queen Anne Victorian built by a lumber baron for his daughter, and the Austin Jenks home, an 1871 brick house with a mansard-roof tower, built for a riverboat captain.
The tour will be held 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, and tickets are $15. To order tickets, call the Warden's House Museum at 651-439-5956.
'Metal' in a canBenjamin Moore's new Molten Metallics paints let you give surfaces the look of hammered metal.
Molten Metallics are high-gloss alkyd paints that produce the texture and appearance of metal. They're suitable for use indoors or out and inhibit rust on exterior surfaces.
The paints are part of Benjamin Moore's Studio Finishes line. They come in six ready-mixed colors: gold, copper, bronze, gun smoke, silver and charcoal.
Suggested retail prices are $15.95 for a pint and $22.95 for a quart.
The product is available at some Benjamin Moore retailers. You can find nearby stores at www.benjaminmoore.com, but call first to make sure they carry Molten Metallics.
The paint can also be ordered online at http:// store.benjaminmoore.com/storefront. Look in the "Primers & Specialty" section.
