When Tom and Barbara McLeod's 28 grandkids were young, they'd charter a bus to pick them up and haul them to Brentwood, the family's upnorth retreat. The place has four houses, including an 11,000 square-foot main house, with a total of 17 bedrooms, its own malt shop and a 15-seat theater. There's also an indoor swimming pool and tennis, volleyball and shuffleboard courts.
The 30-acre family compound is called "Brentwood," and it's on Big Chippewa Lake. The place has been for sale for years, and a minimum bid price hasn't been set. The auction is Thursday and is being handled by the J.P. King Auction Company. Click here for more details and photos.
