How does your hospital compare?

Last update: March 28, 2008 - 7:51 PM

Starting today, you can find out what patients in Minnesota and the rest of the country really think about their local hospitals.

Patient satisfaction data from thousands of individual hospitals will be posted for the first time on a federal government website, www.hospitalcompare.hhs.gov.

The website, which already includes information about death rates and quality measures, is being expanded to include data from patient satisfaction surveys, Michael Leavitt, the secretary of health and human services, announced Friday.

Hospitals can be searched by name, state, county, city or ZIP code on the website.
