Event planner Joyce Myers gets "girlfriends" of all ages out of their rut with day trips to take in surprising local delights.
PERSONALLY
Husband and wife find that poetry helps open the doors to healthy communication.
Dear Carolyn: My wife is 4 1/2 months pregnant. For the past year or so I've had an "office girlfriend" -- a single woman at my office who is fun to flirt and eat lunch with, but nothing more. I'm definitely attracted to office GF, but I have kept myself under control.
A new condom campaign uses humor to make its point. Not everyone is laughing.
Dear Carolyn: I married a man 3 1/2 years ago who has two adult children. The grandchildren are 3, 3, 1 and 4 months. I feel it is disrespectful to have the children call me by my first name (which is what they are doing), yet Mrs. is too formal. I had a rocky start with his sons so I did not want to push the issue. Things are much better now, but I'm not sure if I should say anything or just let it go.
Dear Carolyn: My boyfriend wanted to have the Numbers Conversation. I already know what you think about this generally. I was perfectly comfortable trading our numbers, but he has pushed the issue further, wanting to know more about the specific circumstances of each person on the list.
Ministers find online world time-consuming.
