ADULT LITERACY TUTOR: Help immigrants, refugees and other local residents with reading, writing and English through the Minnesota Literacy Council in the metro or Greater Minnesota area. Contact Allison at arunchey@theMLC.org or 651-645-2277, ext 219.

VOLUNTEER DRIVER: Transport seniors to activities in Arden Hills and/or on Lake Street in Minneapolis through Little Brothers-Friends of the Elderly. Drivers needed the first and third Tuesday of the month from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Orientation and training required. BLOOD PRESSURE VOLUNTEER: Help check blood pressure and provide health information for seniors at the Fairview Community Center in Roseville.

CINCO DE MAYO VOLUNTEER: Help with various duties during the Cinco de Mayo Fiesta May 2-3 in St. Paul.

BRULE LAKE TRAIL CLEARING VOLUNTEER: Clear brush and downed trees from hiking trails in the BWCA during a trip with the Boundary Waters Advisory Committee. Work two or three days between May 2-4. A mandatory informational meeting will be held April 16.

KITCHEN CONNECTION: Help with a program that encourages whites and Latinos to build community connections during meals on Saturdays in Minneapolis.

MENTOR: Share your activities and offer academic and recreational support to a youth through Kinship of Greater Minneapolis.

CAMP COUNSELOR: Help special needs children at Camp Odayin, a residential summer camp for ages 8-17, July 21-25, July 28-Aug. 1, or Aug. 4-8.
