Do Americans support or oppose the big 2010 federal health law known as Obamacare?
Well, both.
Several polls have shown that respondents are skeptical of the overall law.
But when people are asked about specific components – for example, Should insurance companies have to accept people with pre-existing conditions? Should young adults be able to stay on their parents’ insurance? – they express support for the law.
Here’s the latest example, a survey by AARP of Minnesota. The survey found that two‐thirds of Minnesotans support the creation of a state run health insurance exchange and 74% want that exchange to negotiate competitive prices for consumers.
