Saturday and Sunday (Aug. 6-7)

Nokomis Shoes tent sale (4950 34th Ave. S., Mpls, 612-724-1406) offers discounts of 30 to 50 percent. All  Red Wing shoes are 40 percent off, sandals and shorts (Carhartt, Columbia) are 50 percent off. Fri.-Sun.

Oh Baby! Outlet (743 E. Lake St., Wayzata, 952-404-0170) is closing Aug. 27. Only a few items have gotten additional markdowns so far, and the storewide discounts won't happen until the last two weekends in August, said co-owner Tom Lauer. About 75 percent of the outlet merch is from Oh Baby! and 25 percent is from the home furnishings store Que Sera, both in the Galleria in Edina. Currently the outlet has a lot of baby bedding discounted 80 percent and Que Sera pillows, sheets, comforters, shams and duvets in sizes twin through king at 50 to 75 percent off. New stuff is still being brought in to the outlet, said Lauer.

Everything at Styled Life (Galleria, Edina, 952-928-8888) is discounted 30 to 70 percent with most items 50 percent off. The semi-annual sales are excellent deals on women's and men's accessories including Missoni, Pucci, MZ Wallace, Dunhill, Marc by Marc Jacobs and Martine Sitbon.  Through Sewpt. 5 with new items added throughout.

The Uptown Art Fair, Powderhorn Art Fair and Loring Park Art Festival are this weekend. If the weather turns rainy Saturday, consider shopping on Sunday for deals. No, items aren't usually marked down, but the last day before items are being packed up is a good time for making an offer.
