If you're looking for a little more adventure in your yoga practice, the Gorilla Yogis have an event for you: An early morning vinyasa practice Tuesday at the Guthrie Theater. You can "down dog" and "tree" with as many as 150 other yogis while watching the sun rise over the Mississippi River.

Gorilla Yogis was founded by Jessica Rosenberg and Nan Arundel, two local yoga instructors who have taken their practice outside of the studio walls and into the urban jungle. Previous Gorilla Yogi events have been held at the Mpls Photo Center and the Cedar Cultural Center.

Doors open at 6:45 a.m., and the practice will run from 7 to 8 a.m. in the Proscenium lobby area. This event is BYOM (bring your own mat) and free, though a suggested donation of $10 will go to benefit a youth development organization. Check out www.GorillaYogis.com.
