"Hi, I'm Jessica and I'm 14 years old. My favorite subject is world geography. Although some days I get off task at school, you'll often find my head in a book! Of course, I'm a social butterfly, and it is tempting to talk to my friends when I should be studying.
"I love singing karaoke or in a choir, Dance Dance Revolution, swimming, roller skating and watching TV. Two of my favorite movies are 'Twilight' and 'Marley and Me.'
"When I grow up, I want to be a fashion designer and travel around the world. I love little kids and animals, so it would be great to have younger siblings and a pet. If you don't have pets, maybe I could volunteer at the Humane Society. People say I'm really good with kids and with people with disabilities. I think that's because I care about people and know that people with disabilities are whole people, just like I am.
"I prefer the Twin Cities and hope you will support my contact with relatives. It doesn't matter to me what race you are or whether you are gay or straight. What I really need is to be adopted by a family that will be there for me through good times and bad, even when I'm an adult."
