As if "Downton Abbey" fans need a clue, Twin Cities Public Television (TPT) is hosting a "Big Sip" tea party from noon to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Union Depot in St. Paul to herald the new season, beginning Jan. 4.

The first 250 guests get a free serving of tea in a "Downton Abbey" cup with branded coaster and cup sleeve (so we ain't talkin' china). But anyone may swan about before a Highclere Castle backdrop or take selfies with character cutouts of Anna, Bates, Lady Mary and Carson. You also can register to win two $60 tickets to the "Downton Abbey" Holiday Festival Dec. 13, at which the fifth season's premiere will be screened at 3 and 7 p.m. at Northrop at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. (To order tickets, visit www.tpt.org.)

In the meantime, just imagine the Dowager Countess pursing her lips, raising an eyebrow and musing, "Big … sip?"
