"They've never given me the need to spy. They've been good, honest. But I know people who have [snooped]."

Sonya Wies, Lino Lakes, who has two daughters, 17 and 19.

"I probably wouldn't spy unless they were in a situation of risky behavior or got in trouble or I got a call from another parent that something was going on on Facebook."

Jennifer Mullenix, St. Paul, the parent of two teens and two tweens.

"They should only do it if they have probable cause. For the GPS tracker, they could do it if you were getting into accidents or speeding."

Raymond Quilling, 17, a senior at Andover High School.

"I don't think it's fair. You should be able to trust your kids and talk to them and figure out stuff."

Brianna Droubie, 17, a senior at Coon Rapids High School.

"Unless you do something to make your parents suspicious, there's really no reason they should be spying on you."

Easton Dale, 17, a senior at Andover High School.
