Shved helps Knicks surprise the Spurs
NEW YORK – Former Timberwolf Alexey Shved scored 21 points and made the key defensive play in overtime, and the New York Knicks beat the San Antonio Spurs 104-100.
Rookie Langston Galloway had a career-high 22 points for the Knicks, who held the Spurs to just one basket in overtime to surprise the defending NBA champions. Lou Amundson finished with 12 points and a career-high 17 rebounds while playing tough against Tim Duncan.
•TWO DOUBLE-DOUBLES: Blake Griffin (19 points, 11 boards) and DeAndre Jordan (12 and 14) led the host Clippers past the Hornets 99-92.
•JACKSON'S THRILLER: Reggie Jackson scored 23 points with a career-high 23 assists to lead the host Pistons past the Grizzlies 105-95.
•IBAKA OUT FOUR TO SIX WEEKS: Serge Ibaka will be out four to six weeks after having a procedure on his right knee.
•THOMPSON OUT: Warriors guard Klay Thompson will sit out tonight because of a sprained ankle and be re-evaluated in seven to 10 days.
