Kyrie Irving scored 20 of his 38 points in the third quarter as the Celtics held off Memphis 122-116 on Friday night in Boston.

Irving also had 11 assists and seven rebounds to help Boston win its second straight after dropping three in a row. Marcus Smart added 20 points and Al Horford had 18

Mike Conley led the Grizzlies with 26 points. They have lost 10 of 11.

Golden State 112, L.A. Clippers 94: Stephen Curry scored 28 points and Kevin Durant 24 in DeMarcus Cousins' season debut as the Warriors rolled in Los Angeles. Cousins had 14 points, six rebounds and three assists but fouled out in just 15 minutes in his first game back after tearing an Achilles' tendon last year.

Utah 115, Cleveland 99: Donovan Mitchell scored 24 points, Rudy Gobert had 19 points and 15 rebounds and the Jazz cruised to a victory over the Cavaliers in Salt Lake City. Royce O'Neale added 16 points and 11 rebounds, and Derrick Favors had 12 points and 10 rebounds in Utah's sixth consecutive win and eighth in nine games. Cameron Payne had 14 points to lead the Cavaliers.

Portland 128, New Orleans 112: Damian Lillard scored 24 points and CJ McCollum and Jake Layman had 20 each as six Blazers scored in double figures in a rout of the Pelicans in Portland. Anthony Davis had 27 points to lead the Pelicans.

Brooklyn 117, Orlando 115: D'Angelo Russell matched his career high with 40 points and the Nets overcame a 21-point deficit to beat the Magic in Orlando. Spencer Dinwiddie scored 20 points for Brooklyn, which won for the 16th time in 21 games.

Detroit 98, Miami 93: Blake Griffin had 32 points and 11 rebounds and the Pistons overcame an early exit by injured Andre Drummond to win in Detroit. Dwyane Wade scored 20 points for the Heat but missed badly on an three-pointer in the final seconds. Drummond left because of a nasal injury after being hit in the face in the first quarter.
