TNT has found something of a goldmine in recent years with Charles Barkley and Shaquille O'Neal joining Ernie Johnson and Kenny Smith to form the NBA on TNT studio team. If there's better chemistry on television among a sports group, we haven't noticed.
Shaq, standing 7-1 and a smile just as big, is the team's biggest draw. On Thursday night, the show's Twitter account revealed something bigger is on the way.
Retired Timberwolves star Kevin Garnett is set to join the studio crew. In a tweet Thursday night, the 30-second promo shows - from the back - Garnett walking backstage of a studio with his voiceover.
"It's here," Garnett says. "This is my next chapter. The NBA on TNT has a special spot just for me. They're giving me my own space."
Garnett vows to keep his takes "100 percent real" which will fit in nicely with the current cast of characters that isn't exaclty known to hold back.
Garnett's debut is next Thursday night.
