Good morning, commuters!

After a brief winter respite, we're talking icy patches and slick spots again. Just enough precipitation fell to leave those types of hazards on the roads, so use caution as you head out.

Roads are in good condtion in the immediate metro, according to MnDOT. But road ratings drop to fair just north and west of the metro in places such as Independence, St. Michael, Elk River, St. Francis and Buffalo.

I'll be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and I will need your help.

If you see or hear about any congestion, delays or problems, e-mail drive@startribune or tweet @stribdrive.
