1. My company is new to Jobs online. How do we get started?

1.My company is new to Jobs online. How do we get started?
We offer two convenient account options. You may post jobs on your Star Tribune advertising invoice or by using your credit card. Click here to begin posting jobs. If you prefer to speak to a representative, simply call us at (612) 673-4324, or (800) 829-8742 ext. 4324 outside the Metro area.

2.What are your hours?
Our business hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Central Standard Time, excluding holidays.

3.I've forgotten my user name and password. How can I retrieve this information?
Click here to have your password e-mailed to you. If you need further assistance with your account, please contact your assigned Jobs representative. If you do not know whom your representative is, please call us at (612) 673-4324 or toll free (800) 829-8742 ext. 4324.

4.When I enter a new job posting it doesn't automatically go "live" on your website. Why?
When you submit a job posting to Jobs online it goes into a job pending queue where it is briefly reviewed by Jobs representatives for accuracy and EEOC guidelines. Once your job is approved, it will go live with the next update. Update times are 2am, 8am, 12am and 6pm Central Standard Time.

5.Is Jobs online part of a bigger national database? By posting at Jobs online will I be searching for prospective employees from other job databases?
Jobs online is a local website, part of startribune.com, Jobs online is also a member of the CareerCast national network which consists of over 100 media and newspaper job sites. Job postings are published only on the local Jobs site, the #1 local media website in Minnesota.

I6.I've just taken over posting jobs for someone in my company, so we already have an account with Jobs online. Is there someone I can call to help me get started?
You can contact one of our representatives at (612) 673-4324 or (800) 829-8742 ext. 4324 outside the Twin Cities Metro area. We offer free training sessions to quickly bring you up to speed.

7.We have multiple people on staff who will be posting positions at Jobs online. Do they all need separate usernames and passwords? And can they all visit our company's home page at once? Or will each of them have their own homepage?
Some employers choose to have one account for their companies while other choose to have an account for each individual user. If you decide to go with multiple accounts all users will only have access to the jobs posted in their account. Please call your Jobs representative to help you decide which will work best for you company. 8.What is the advantage of a Featured Employer on Jobs online?
Featured Employer profiles allow you to market you organization to the job seeker and provide more information about the company benefits such as culture, and your job opportunities. Featured Employer profiles also carry additional promotional weight by appearing on the Jobs online homepage and results in more exposure for your company.

9.What if I like the IT Division of my company to have it's own company profile on Jobs online to appeal to IT job seekers? Can I create an additional company profile for this beyond the general company profile we have for our company?
Jobs online allow one company profile per account. However, employers may choose to take advantage of Jobs online's subsidiary discount program and allow a single division or subsidiary to have their own account. Simply call your Jobs representative for the details. If you don't have the direct number to your representative, please call the general Jobs line at (612) 673-4324 or toll free at (800) 829-8742 ext. 4324.

10.What does it cost an employer to use Jobs online?
There are many options for employers on Jobs online. Please visit our media kit or call us at (612) 673-4324 or toll free at (800) 829-8742 ext. 4324.

11.If I cancel my prior to the expiration date, do I get a refund?
When you purchase a online job posting, it will run on StarTribune.com/jobs for 30 days. There is no refund upon early cancellation.

12.When I try to load your page on my browser, it shows up as a blank page or some of the information is missing. What do I do?

In Internet Explorer 6.0:
1.Click "Internet Options" on the Tools menu.
2.Click on the Privacy tab.
3.Move the setting slider to "Low" or "Accept All Cookies."
4.Click OK.

In Netscape version 4.0 and higher:
1.Click on the Edit menu.
2.Click on "Preferences"
3.Click "Advanced Settings" at the bottom of the dialog box.
4.Double click on "Privacy and Security" to see the drop down menu.
5.Click on "Cookies"
6.Click on radio button to enable all cookies/or explore enable cookies based on privacy settings (set to medium to low).
