Jenna Schultz will serve 30 days in jail and be on probation for two years for texting a nude picture of herself to a student at Simley High School in Inver Grove Heights last May.

Schultz, who turned 27 on Tuesday, was a student teacher at the time of the incident.

According to court documents, a 17-year-old boy told police that Schultz had contacted him on Facebook and gave him her personal cellphone number. They began to text back and forth, and on May 11, Schultz sent him a picture of herself naked.

The texts continued for several days until the boy cut off contact with her "because she was annoying him," the criminal complaint said.

Schultz admitted taking the picture but said she didn't remember sending it to the boy. She said "she must have been really drunk," the complaint said.

Schultz was charged with two counts of felony stalking and one gross-misdemeanor charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. She pleaded guilty to the gross misdemeanor in late November in Dakota County District Court. The felony charges were dismissed at her sentencing hearing.

District Judge Jerome Abrams ordered her to report to jail on April 15. Schultz must pay restitution and a $500 fine and abide by other conditions of probation, such as random drug and alcohol testing.
