The Hopkins Police Crime Fund is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of suspects who allegedly held up a gas station and assaulted an employee Sunday night.

Witnesses told police that three men held up the Holiday station on the 300 block of 11th Avenue S. around 7:20 p.m. and fled north in a dark-colored SUV with its lights off, said police Mike Glassberg.

The suspects took an unspecified amount of cash and "multiple" cartons of cigarettes. One suspect indicated he had a weapon in his pocket when he pushed the store employee down and held him to the ground. But no weapon was displayed during the robbery, Glassberg said.

The employee suffered minor injuries, Glassberg said.

Detectives are reviewing surveillance footage and witness statements.
