Interstate State Park

• Join the park naturalist for a 1-mile hike along the Railroad Trail. Meet at the trailhead at the Taylors Falls Community Center. (651-465-5711, ext. 225, mndnr.gov)

 

Blue Mounds State Park, Luverne, Minn.

3-4 p.m. Friday

• Join the park naturalist for a 1-mile hike to the upper cliff line of the historic quarry. Continue further down the trail or hike back. We’ll talk about wild turkeys and their unique history in Minnesota. Meet at the visitor center parking lot. Trail is uneven in places. Comfortable footwear and warm clothes recommended. Winter survival

Whitewater State Park

Learn how beavers survive the winter. After taking in a short indoor presentation, hike to look for beaver signs in the park. (1-507-312-2308, mndnr.gov)
