A 14-year-old Chanhassen High School student was arrested Saturday after he allegedly sent an e-mail threatening to shoot another student, authorities said this week.
On Friday, a ninth-grade student reported receiving a threat from the boy, a classmate, that said, “I’m going to shoot you,” according to a Carver County Sheriff’s Office report. Police searched the student’s home in Victoria just after midnight and seized two laptop computers, a smartphone and three firearms.
The 14-year-old student was arrested on suspicion of terroristic threats and taken to the Carver County Juvenile Detention Center. The case has been submitted to the county attorney’s office for possible charges.
