While the professional singers at the Grammys were again no match for the amateurs of "American Idol" in television popularity, a strong Sunday helped CBS to a weekly ratings win.

Fox's "American Idol," as is typical, was the nation's most popular program, with both episodes the week of Feb. 2-8, registering 26 million viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research.

The Grammy show, where the Jonas Brothers, Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus helped draw a youthful audience, was seen by 19 million viewers on CBS Sunday. An estimated 17.2 million watched last year.

Before the ceremony, Katie Couric's interview with the US Airways crew that landed in the Hudson River was seen by 16.7 million. It made "60 Minutes" the fourth-ranked show on Nielsen's top 10 list.

For the week, network averages were: CBS, 11.5 million (7.2 rating, 12 share); Fox, 10.8 million (6.3, 10); ABC, 7.8 million (4.9, 8); NBC, 7 million (4.4, 7); CW, 1.8 million (1.2, 2); My Network, 1.7 million (1.1, 2); ION, 780,000 (0.5, 1).

In the evening news race: NBC "Nightly News," 10.4 million (6.8, 13); ABC "World News," 8.7 million (5.8, 11); "CBS Evening News," 7.2 million viewers (4.8, 9).
