Flying Nepal

Lukla airport, Nepal, was carved out of side of a mountain. The airport was built by Sir Edmund Hillary, one of the first two people to scale Everest, in 1965. At an altitude of 9,325 feet, it has earned the reputation of being one of the most extreme and dangerous airports in the world.
