Earlier this week, Cassandra Flores got the call she'd been waiting for: The University of Minnesota hospital had a new heart for her 16-year-old son, Trinidad. "Trini," a mentor, volunteer and gregarious leader of the teens at Little Earth housing complex, had big plans. He had a special fund for college, and he recently picked out a promise ring for his girlfriend and said, "That's the girl I'm doing to marry." But complications caused a massive stroke. Hundreds of kids filled the hospital halls to pray for him, but he was removed from life support Thursday. His friends made a fire to light the way for his spirit, and will tend it around the clock over the weekend.
