A bridge falls: I-35W bridge collapse

On August 1, 2007, at rush-hour, the I-35W bridge collapsed into the Mississippi River. Thirteen people were killed, over 144 others suffered injuries, over 80 cars, trucks and other vehicles rode the bridge down as it fell. These pictures encompass the first frantic hours to the ensuing days of search and recovery.
