Who says you can’t find free parking? For Saturday, at least, motorists can park at a meter in St. Paul without paying a dime. Or a dollar. Or anything.
The city is suspending parking meter enforcement on Saturday as it resets parking pay stations for new enforcement hours and prices. New rates and times go into effect on Monday.
After the one-day grace period, the new hours and rates will be as follows:
Meters will be enforced from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Sundays remain free.
New meter rates:
• Standard parking — $2 an hour from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and $1 an hour from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Corridors with less parking demand will have reduced rates.
• Event parking — $3.75 an hour at Xcel Energy Event Parking Zone and $2.50 an hour at CHS Field Event Parking Zone.
